Help me identify this engine!

Whats up guys. Found a wrecked cb7 up the road from me. My engine is pretty much done (burns oil, leaks) So I asked her how it ran. Started and ran great. Trouble is, when I popped the hood, I saw this engine. I asked her if it was the stock engine, and she said yes it was, so not wanting me to give anything away, I agreed.

So what is this engine, I know its a 2.2. Im pretty sure its an f22, but is it some special variant? What are the specs on this, and is it better than my stock f22?

Yep F22B.
Basically it is a twincam version of the F22A.

i had a f22a1 with 380k miles on it and then i got a f22bdohc and i just love it it just fell like it want to keep on pulling in every gear

gotta say i love mine...when i had my h22 i loved it till....i got this one and its just a monster!!!iv even beaten a few h22 accords...gsr/type r bubbles no problem!

It could also be a non-VTEC H23 or F20A SOHC or DOHC.
F22A* are the stock engines that come in North American CB's.

Just check the engine code on the block, it's near the upper radiator hose connector on the engine, and look down and you'll see what it is.

It kinda looks like a USDM H23 to me. I think I see a coil wire coming off the distributor. Aren't the JDM F22A/22B DOHCs Internal coil? Unless the person that swapped the motor kept the usdm distributor.

But yeah... just look at the Engine code right next to the flywheel timing rubber plug thats right under the upper radiator hose and it will be a dead giveaway.

Take a picture of the engine code; that will give us an idea if it's a G Series or not. Could be just a JDM F22B DOHC, H23A1, or the above.

There is no such thing as a g series honda accord nor prelude motor kiddo.

The G series was the 5 cylinder. There was a G20 and a G25. If it's got 4 spark plugs, it isn't a G series.
