    Please I beg you stop misinforming PPL 92-96 h23 all p14 obd1 ..
H23 is external so if u gotta 90-91 you'll have a small dizzy issue easily correctable.
Only thing I do recommend is checking/changing the Tbelt, OIL DEPOSITS around the block, head, T-cover and oil pan, seals corresponding to the leaks.
And possibly a comp test/leakdown. Also if the tranny is going to be off new clutch bearing and rear main seal, also check clutch n C plate. Be sure to grease up the tranny lube points.. That's all I can think ATM someone else chime in..

Dude shut the fuck up i never spread any mis information, i said there MIGHT be differences because its a 1996 car. You have to be the shittiest reader on this whole damn fourm or something.

And im putting this to the table to since you seem to adament about putting me down

1995 prelude SI automatic ECU part number: 37820-P14-A62
1996 prelude SI automatic ECU part number: 37820-P14-A63

hmm, all of the wiring harnesses have different part numbers as well

wow, honda threw a snag in for me...
was excited to see this ecu was a p14
but then i saw what Tippey764 jus posted above about the ecu diff...

turns out the one i have is this one...
1996 prelude SI automatic ECU part number: 37820-P14-A63
        obd2

        as shown in this link
        http://www.hondata.com/techecuid.html

        connectors are very different

        ok...
so i could get the obd2 to obd1 adapter to connect this...
cuz the ecu is already bought and paid for as well as the engine

use my fuel injectors instead of ones on h23a1 engine

        but what about the dizzy?

also this motor has crank sensors near the crank...

        what now?

am i able to use my dizzy from the f22a1?
        possibly not

        the h23a1 is external tho

and have read i should change the oil pump

so basically what i have found
is to get the obd2 to obd1 adapter, h23a1 dizzy from obd1 engine, and change out the oil pump to convert this engine to obd1

if anyone can help me out on this

            http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-95...item3cb788077c

And no you cannot use the f22 distributor on the h23, the bolt pattern where it bolts to the head is different

it seems it broke when i was mating the transmission to it
discovered it broken shortly after when i was removing wiring harness...

ends up the timing belt and water had been changed recently....
not sure why the balance shaft belt wasnt changed...
                            it was old and brittle
the timing belt was still kinda new
but i went ahead and used the new timing and balance shaft belts....
was gona use the new water pump, but after removing the one that was on it
discovered how new it was still, and jus cleaned up, new gasket and re-installed

Sludge in the head needs attention also may aswell open the bottom n take a look, sludge in the oilpan n crankshaft = no bueno. Your head should be golden brown to bronzey.

edsit: Just noticed you got no intake mani, put it on before you drop in the motor trust me.....
