M2S4 tranny on f23. How do I put the flywheel on

I have an f23a1 and I am going to put an m2s4 (h23 tranny) on and I have the clutch and flywheel for the tranny. Will that clutch and flywheel work on the f23 and how do I put the flywheel on the engine as far as the order of everything?

the F and H clutches are the same so you're good there.

as far as order. you'd unbolt the clutch plate using a star pattern. then unbolt the flywheel in a star pattern, you'll need a 10mm socket with a (star point) for the clutch plate, and a 17mm socket with a (star point) for the flywheel. you should look up the torque numbers for both. and torque them to spec.

I have never had it together and I know how to put the pressure plate on because I have replaced a clutch before. What I was asking was do I have to put any spacers between the flywheel and crank or just do they bolt up to each other?I also have a thing that can be used as a spacer or a washer (it came off a at) so should I use it between the bolts and flywheel?Or should I not use it? It locktight good for the flywheel bolts?.

you ought to think about replacing the rear main seal while you have the flywheel off.

Take your f23 tranny out then....

You will see the clucth/pressure plate/clutch disc bolt to the flywheel..

If you are replacing to a new clutch, a new clucth kit should come with everything that you will need to install such as a throw out bearing, pressure plate, clucth disc... you might want to resurface the flywheel or get a whole new better one.

Take the bolts that secure the clutch onto the flywheel out.. after that you will see the flywheel bolt to the engine...take the bolts out. Replace/put back the new stuff in the reverse. When you torque the bolt to spec you should tighten them up in a star pattern.

Dont put spacers or washers in there.... just put everything back the same way you took them out.

make sure you are using the manual flywheel bolts and not the automatic torque plate bolts(they have a AT stamp on them and they are shorter i believe) to secure the flywheel on the crank

edit: and don't i repeat DON'T put loctite on the bolts they will have to be removed in the future if you ever want your flywheel resurfaced, just torque them to the correct amount

I am not going to replace it because the engine only has 62k and it dose not leak a drop so I dont want to replace it and risk messing the new one up. I did replace the timing belt and crank seal and waterpump.

I know about the bolts because I have the shorter At bolts on and I only have like two turns on each of them. I have ban looking on craigslist but if I cant find anything I will just go to the Honda Dealer.
