    ECU PINS (Just rambling)

Yesterday i was my local JY. I saw a 94-97 accord with sohc vtec. Not really suprised the motor was still there given the font end damage. I clipped the wire harness plugs and took them home. What i don't get and I saw the DIY, is why in the hell those things are so damn stubborn. The really don't want to come out. I'm about bash the plug with a hammer and revocer the pins that way. CTFU. When I removed the pins out of my donor ecu plug the diy didn't show the easy way to depress the lock. I will try to look tomorrow and post the easier way.

Ok, here you go. I used a jewlers screwdriver about the same size as the small wire going into the ecu plug. Go from the wire side and squeeze through above the wire and push lightly till it feels like it stoped, then grab the wire and the screw driver and pull out. That easy! Practice on one your not going to use just in case. The larger ones take a little more wiggling, but can come out the same way. Let me know if you need to know how to take apart the connectors in the engine bay. I had and entire junk car and created a 14pin factory looking plug in my engine bay this way. Gave me some options for accessories later and the ease of not having to fish wires to pull the motor.
