    F20B Sooner then i thought?

well looks like i'm having some more trouble with my f22a6, well more the tranny and i just don't want to spend more money on a engine setup i don't plan on keeping, my flywheel is bad as is my throw out bearing, engine shuts off when cold n just starting... i think thats more with fuel aka fuel pump/ pressure regulator... so with my next paycheck and probably a little from the one after that gonna be buying a F20b with lsd 5spd tranny and Ecu swap that and get some progress going with that... thoughts? what kind of mounts should i use... obd1 to obd2 is gonna suck... anything else i should maybe look in to getting or should deffinatly get?

your first thing you should do is research. there has been at least 4 threads of the F20B in the last month or 2.

so from what i'm hearing its pretty much like doing an obd2 h22 swap only difference is that f20b had no obd1 ecu to run it on so pretty much have to convert the car to OBD2 or run a chipped and tuned p28, or p72 obd1 ecu... which i don't have time or money to get the engine and get the ecu tuned at the same time plus the one i'm getting comes with the lsd tranny wire harness and obd2 ecu... maybe spring for a tuned ecu down the road but for now just worried about getting the swap and get it running asap

I think i might just go the easy route and do the obd1 H22a swap... i just don't have the time or money to do the obd2 conversion right now... so i might just get the H22a long block with my f22 tranny which will be getting a new stage 2 clutch kit and the p28 ecu its alot cheaper and easier of a swap and in the long run an over all good idea... as much as i hate to give up on something... looks like the f20b just isn't in my future for this car atleast...

cause i'd still have to get an obd1 ecu to run it on and get that tuned... but i don't have the time for that as this car is my DD and i'm all about making my money... lol

but i would prefer to not spend that much... as i also have to get a clutch kit for my tranny right now cause i have a bad flywheel and throw out bearing

this is becoming a very tough decision... because the with the f20b i don't need any mounting kit so i guess that money could be used to get a ecu tuned?

you sound pretty indecisive still, maybe just get another F22 from a j/y or somewhere local for a few hundred bucks.....and use that until your properly equipped to put the F20 or H22 in there.
