it's going to be my first mod haha. Still working on it. But so far all I have heard is good remarks on the swap. I hear more low end torque rather than wot top end power...which I would prefer. Just make sure everything is perfect when you do it. That's the only kicker I seem to find in this swap. Make sure your oil hole is filled, your head is milled, and your gaskets brandy new.

it doesnt, but sometimes the surface isnt true on a cylinder head especially on used ones.

in this case we resurface it and not mill it.

        both have two different purposes.

with this setup, i noticed more all around power. i loved it all the way till 6500 (even though 7k was my shift light but i never shifted that high in fear my bottom end would blow)

question will a f20b sohc engine work also for swapping a h22 head? Also since its vtec no hole's needed to be drilled.

i got a few more questions.

can i used the f22a header?

do i used the f22 or h23 cam shaft cuz i wanna get a reground and i need to kno if i have to buy a h23 or just use the one in my car

well the h23's dohc. So if for some reason you don't have access to the h23 cam shafts, and only access to 2 f22 cam shafts...they'll fit, but I recommend regrinding them before putting them in your new h23 head. Its almost pointless to put two f22 cams in an h23 head.

And the f22a1 header will fit fine my friend

500 and thats probably without a flow bench.

                          800-1000 with a flow bench.
for a regrind, you might not need it and if you do...you may be able to get away with a flapper attachment with a grinder.

dont forget a good valve job.

Just finished putting one together for someone else. He brought me the parts, and I put it together out of the kindness of my heart. Did it just like the guide said and it looks like it'll run :P. Don't know how long it'll last though. He brought me a Fail-Pro head gasket, and wanted me to reuse his old H23 timing belt. Oh well. Another G23 is born (A6 bottom end, that may or may not have 285k on it)

Oh yeah. What are you guys doing about knock sensors? The P14 ECU's gonna be looking for one
