wait, all F22 bottom end pieces? Including the lower timing gear? Maybe that's why, I'm running the H23 timing gear.

the H23 distributer doesn't have the same plugs. Did any one else run into this problem, and how did you solve it? I'm thinking about swapping the dizzy guts over so I can use the H23's base for mounting, but the F22's electronics for the plugs, since it looks like there would be missing wires if I spliced... ideas?

nobody has mentioned anything about any wiring issues/directions for operating the sensors and what not...can you still use the F22ax wiring harness? what would u have to change! yes im a noob at the wiring stuff! wouldnt u have to extend some wires??/ no?

no.. lol.. u really dont have to extend dittly squat.. when the f22/h23 was performed everything could reach all of its locations and sensors and blah blah.. only thing that had to be redone was the coolant lines.. since h23 = FIV below the throttle body instead of on the drivers side like the f22...
everything else was plug and play.. i mean u may have to unwind some of the wiring but I never had to.. and yes ur still keeping the f22a wiring harness..
Praise The Lowered...

even if it were true you could always put a T into one of your vacuum lines. But as i recall i dont remember seeing an extra vacuum line on the IM for an auto. but i've only looked at f22a1 and f22a4 auto and manuel cars, never a h23.WTB:
88-01 prelude 2.0si (3g) si (4g,5g)
OR
90-93 Accord.
Has to be 5spd, has to be CHEAP. SUPER CHEAP. Will be in Indiana in February permanently and want a project car when I get settled in.

Plus my engine now has 170k miles on it. I want to swap it for something with less miles and figure I can pick up a f22b for 500-800 dollars. I've been looking around for answers but cant seem to find a whole lot with stuff that I understand.

If you're worried about milage, get a rebuild. My bottom end rebuild would have been $245 if I didn't need the crank turned and a connecting rod replaced, and I used about $100 more in gaskets than would have been needed for a replacement engine ($150),
so your head swap and rebuild will be like $425 + the head which I got for $200 with intake manifold, then $75 for distributor, $35 for lower timing gear and injectors, and $25 for timing and balance shaft belts, so I spent $760. I think you could find a head for around the same with everything on it, so you could save some money that way.
and your replacement engine will be like $50 in gaskets, $25 for timing and balance shaft belts, $150 for shipping, and $600 for the engine, so like $825.
So which to go with would depend on what you can find the head for. The replacement engine would have like 50,000 on the bearings and block, the rebuild would have 170,000 on the block but 0 on the bearings, so you could also base it on that.
