    DID I DESTROY IT? help with h22 swap

    ok got the h in most of the wiring is complete aside from the vtec pressure switch, solenoid, knock sensor, and iab's i have all these already pinned with wire too just need to know what the individual plugs look like and where. i know the vtec sol. and pressure switch are on the dizzy side (right?) behind the dizzy.

    knock sensor is on the back of that block. correct? obove the oil filter slightly?

    and i know where iabs is

    also just a few min ago i decided to try and start it well it had power but wouldnt crank i was checking grounds and noticed my power wire that goes to the alternator wasnt attached and i accidently touched it to the block and got a shit ton of sparks.. no i have no power wtf did i do? is my battery just dead is has been out of the car for a few days sitting on wood.

      I gon't think you damaged anything, maybe drained the batt

        if you touched your ALT wire to anything other than the alt, you grounded your entire electrical system.


        BUT there is a black 80amp fuse in the fuse box in your engine bay. IF that is a fuse and not a piece of wire or aluminum, the fuse would have blown and saved you from shorting your ENTIRE harness.

        so check that fuse


        edit: its either held in by 2 8mm bolts, or 2 phillips head screws.

            92jdm you hit it right on yep that 80amp battery fuse is toast ill have to pick up another tomarrow. still gotta wire up my iabs tho but im confused on what wire i ground cuz the plug i cut from the prelude harness has a red/yellow wire and a green/white wire..

            also i assume i was correct on the location of the vtec and knock sensor...

                  ok thanks guys i got the new fuse put it in tried starting it and it cranks but wont start.. imthinking no spark so i changed my plugs now it wont even crank..

                  got the battery charging right now think it may have drained it trying to start it so many times..

                  what are other things i should look for .. grounds i checked em all that i could find, possibly dizzy is bad? plug wires? like i said i changed the plugs just waiting for battery to charge to see if it will start.

                  let me know of anyother things that may cause it to just crank and not start.

                        UPDATE!! it started problem now is i have a few left over plugs not sure where they go so im going to buy a book for the prelude plus i gotta work tonight so ittle give me something to do.

                              ok heres the plugs that i have no idea where they go.

                              1. its the black cylinder looking one in my hand.


                              2. green plug --- wire colors are white with green line and black


                              3. Grey plug (obviously) it leads down to right in the middle of the fuel rail.. its long enough to drop down under the intake manifold to connect to the knock sensor...


                              Heres another picture show where it leads to on the harness you can also see the wire colors
