    tensioner ?

    soo good news juss picked up my h22 today now my question is
    is it necessary to change to a manual tensioner ?

    you dont have to. but most would recommend it.
    its like 4 parts. all of which you can use from your f22.

      ohhh so u can use the f22 part i was told to use the h23 that the f22 parts wouldnt fit?

        im almost positive they are the same. somone correct me if im wrong.

        when i did mine i used the fasteners from an f22 and the pully from an h23.

            hmm i see so u still had to use the h23 pulley
            this might sound dumb but i wouldnt be able to use my f22 pulleys?

              im not sure if i HAD to. but i chose to.
              but i know the h23 pully will work. so just cross reference honda part numbers, from that link i posted, and see if they are the same. if not, just use the ones you KNOW will work.

                idk if u could answer this one question would my f22 down pipe be able to bolt up to the h22 exhaust manifold? cuz i know the h22 down pipes flange wont on the f22 cat but my h22 didnt come wit a down pipe

                  it depends.
                  i think the f22a1 and f22a4 manifolds are 4-1. but im not sure about the a6. it might be a 4-2-1.
                  the h22 has a 4-2-1 design. so im not sure.

                  just buy a generic aftermarket header. like a megan or DC

                          There is a kit that you can buy from the dealer. It has everything you need besides the tensioner. Yes most parts can be used from f22 or h23 but there are some parts that are cast to the block or cannot be removed that needs to go on the h22, this is where this kit comes in.

                            bought my kit from them just came in the mail last week. good price for all oem parts. im not sure about using the parts off the f22a im sure you can as others have said its a yes. i would rather just buy the new parts instead.
