f20a or...f20a?

i've been searching but havent found what i'm looking for..the re are 3 f20a motors the sohc non vtech,the sohc vtech and the dohc vtech...one of them is supose to be a direct swap into our cars and mount to the f22a tranny perfectly but which one is it?..my motor probably doesnt have much life left in it and i don't want to get rid of my cb7 just because the motors gone.

i never seen a f20a sohc vtec.

i seen f20a sohc, f20a si, and the only sohc 2.0 vtec motor i know of is the f20b , its jdm i believe.

if i can do it again, ill go dohc!

dohc in general is a upgrade to a cb. everything is smoother imo

F20A VTEC = Never existed.

but my 2.0 wasnt a weak motor, in hp it wasnt the greatest but the motor itself was strong.

p12, the sohc 2.0 is based of a f22a4. no secondaries etc..


fyi to the op, all jdm f22a were a6 related, secondaries and all..

i dont think its directly for the f20b's sohc or dohc


but for the f20a's it is.

i can be wrong on the f20b info

both the sohc and the dohc f20a heads will bolt up using the f22ax headgasket. the f20a dohc head is the same head found on the jdm f22b dohc. both heads are stamped "pt2" i believe.

so the sohc f20a will bolt in place of my f22a1 with the same motor mounts and f22a1 tranny?
