h22 vtec on a f20b vtec sohc block

hi guyz in not sure im putting this up in the right section but this has to do with swap. i wondering if the h22a head will fit on a f20b sohc block .i havent got the part to experiment with just tought one of you might have come with this theory .
f20b sohc motor is found in the edm/ukdm accord chasis cg9.
i know the f20b dohc is from the jdm cf3/4 sir accords and engine bay is identical .
so what you think guys is the possible ??

I dont see why not, but why not just buy a complete dohc f20b, or H22a?

X2, I would just do the full engine swap.

If you have an f20b then why are you swapping?

Easy way to find out pull the engine apart and compare head gaskets lol unless you have one laying around. But there might be some similarities. I dunno if its compatible but if you find out let us know!

There is already a G-series engine.

It would just be a hybrid engine.

Yeah, I remember reading about it. Maybe these F & H-series can be mated for higher comp just like the many other honda hybrids. Im wondering if that 2.0 sohc vtec short block will give some good high comp numbers if mated to a dohc head. Reliability can be an issue.

There are no SOHC F blocks that will result in higher compression, better reliability, or more horsepower than a full H22A. Aside from wanting to try something different, there is absolutely no reason to do this.

Well the f20 sohc vtec is not a common motor to build here in the US. Was just trying to help influence a fellow cb uk member to go ahead and see if the h-series head fit the f-series block. Might be possible and might just run but for how long. Could be a good experiment if time and money wasnt the issue.

                          The F20B is a 2.0L version of the F22B1 (if it's VTEC)

There are no benefits to an H22 headswap. The only reason to do this is just for the experience of doing it. A superior engine will not be built from it.

Don't u have the f20b mixed up? Isn't it the dohc blue top that is a reving little puppy that boast a 200 hp number at the crank. Wasn't it call a destroked h22 for racing purposes?
