its not always about the dollar amount. its about what a person wants out of there car. thats why some people keep there sohc and mod them. some people want h22's. others want the new hotness kseries. and when the v6 swap becomes available there will be pleanty of people who want a v6 swap.

    its all about person choice.

K series ftw and you can get a K24a4 block for like 400-500 and then build it how you want....and either get a accord k series 5 speed or a tsx 6 speed for like 800 to 1000...so swap itself will cost maybe 1700.....and then you can go to town....k's arent as expensive as they once was its just all the extra stuff people buy that makes it seem expensive

it can be and has been done for cheap, when you start adding aftermarket it parts the price starts going up.

exactly.....my question is do you have to cut the shifter box in like on a civic/integra or can you bolt it up like the stock accord shifter box

no, you make a plate for the shifter to sit on

so you do have to cut just like on a civic/integra

no, you cut out a peice of sheet metal to bolt down where the oem shifter would sit. then you drill hole and mount the kseries shifter to that plate.
