    h22 throttle body

well i've had my h22 swap for over a year and i've been noticing that alot of the swaps have the h22 throttle body on it, I've been using my old accord throttle body. How do you guys who are using the h22 throttle body get around not having that sensor thats on the f22 throttle body(believe its the the TPS sensor). I would love to have the bigger throttle body on it so it can be up to par.

its the map sensor on top of the prelude tb..but i had the same problem since accord map sensors are located in the "black box" on the passenger side firewall. i went to a local performance/repair shope(Fastlane NYC) who welded the holes for the screws, and tapped the center hole for a vaccum fitting. here's what it looks like:

and then i sent my tb to www.maxbore.com for the p&p; its 67mm-65mm tapered.

Not sure what sensor youre talking about. clarify this a little. Cuz every sensor you need is on the H22 motor.

I'm not sure if there was a difference between the 4th and 5th gens on the location of the map sensor cause on the 94 accords the map sensor was located on top of the throttle body but the throttle body that came with my 95 jdm h22 didnt have the map sensor on the throttle body or any provision for it. do pre-94 accords not have the map sensor sitting directly on top of the throttle body?

here are some before and after pics of my H22 tb
*tb when i first got the h22. notice the tb, the map sensor is right on top. btw, this is a 96 jdm h22, so im not sure if all h22s had this on the tb:

*i wanted a cleaner look, so instead of just plugging in a vaccum fitting, i had Fastlane NYC weld the holes and tap in the vaccum fitting

*note: on 90-93 accords, the map sensor is not located on the throttle body. also, if you look at my fp gauge, that is the factory map sensor right behind it..has those wires running out of it. had to remove the plastic covers in order to fit the cai on the skunk2 IM.

thanx for all the info its been very helpful. I guess I am stuck with my accord throttle body but do any of you know of any possible alternatives so i could get a bigger throttle body and still retain the map sensor on top?

your confused budy, you need a 95 and older h22 throttle body, those dont have the MAp on top. You obsiouly have a 96 because it has the Map on top.

thats why we are here, to help each other out.

i'm 100% sure my h22 is OBD1 coz the dizzy plugs, and the main wiring harness itself was similar to my a6 harness
