    just bought an H22a

hi everyone, just purchased a h22a yesterday, took the cover off and the cams look good the oil in it is a little dirty but im going to flush it with some cheapo oil to loosen it up.

whoever took the motor out just hacked the wiring...they could have atleast gave me a little more wire to work with...but anywho..does anyone have a wiring diagram?..., should i just find a h22a wiring harness from a wrecker and re hook it back up?..., any suggestions?

oh yea pictures will come soon

Its pretty straight forward. Just take your sweet time and make sure everything is good to go before you drop that motor in. As in timing belt, water pump, clutch (if you have a manual), and any gaskets that may need attention. Trust me, you do NOT wanna half ass that swap. You will catch hell for the rest of your days like I did. When I had my H it one prob after another. Clutch, IACV, EGR, VTEC, timing, and the ring around the crank pulley fell off. Not to mention the snapped motor mount. I sold that motor and it is still possessed! I think the little japanese feller who had it in Japan died with that thing or something. Its been through 3 owners since me and its still haunted.

But like I said, take your time, grab some help to help you drop it in, and maybe an extra eye to look for something you may have missed. Good luck to ya.

I would wait and use your stock harness and just inspect the motor before before you drop it in . I mean you can still change the seals and shit first but whos to say if teh compression in the motor is still good when you start it.

I would drop it in but do it properly and go h2b swap. But make sure you change the fluids and clutch most importantly.

unless hes putting it in a civic, h2b would need more fab work, custom axles, etc. good idea in theory just not feasible in the accord yet

it would be all he has to do is ask collective racing and overtime he should be good. I do understand what your saying though.

thanks for the tips everyone, yeah im going to be taking this bit by bit probably wont install this until i know its to my liking..dont think ill let the compression worry me too much should still be good unless the previous owner just raped it..and it appears to have a new timing belt aswell which is awesome
