Just started engine swap, I have no clue what im doing

My tranny went bad at almost 190k so i bought this stock lx engine and tranny for cheap and now im trying to figure out how the hell to put it in , i dont know much about cars, (i have the haynes manual, luckily) more than the average ricer, but it stops at changing the oil. Anyways here are some pics. the new engine and tranny has 77k on it. if anyone has any advice i would gladly appreciate it, as to what problems i may run into when taking out/putting in engine. Ive already removed radiator, cai, battery and holder. Should i jack the engine up a bit then undo the motor mounts?

    new engine

They left the starter off in the junkyard, is it bad if its rusted in thier

Again ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, do you have an engine lift? That will be the first thing you will need, unless you have some people that can lift it into place and hold it there.

Next, its pretty much as simple as taking the old stuff out, and putting the new one in. are both the engines 90/91 or 92/93.

That rust on the new one is on the flywheel. You will prolly want to take the transmission off of the engine, and put your flywheel and clutch on it. If you can, get ahold of a Helms manual. Haynes really dont help much.

Where are you located in FL anyways? If you were farther south, i'd be happy to help, but im guessing you are prolly around the orlando area.

The pics arent working, but you should begin taking off the vacuum lines, PS, heater hoses, shift linkages, pretty much anything you see connected to the engine. Also drain the transmission fluid and pop out the axels. There is a guide in the swaps faq for more info.

YOu dont have too touch the brakes. We didnt even remove the whole axel. We just removed some of the bottom contol arm nuts and bolts, and pried the axel out and swung the knuckle so the axel has room to swing out. And yes you do need an engine leveler, just look at the hoist, how is that one little hook gonna help maunever the engine out.

damn it was a breeze for us . Just take the bottom nut off the hub then the upper bolt to the control arm and hold the upper on down i mean real hars so you can pry the axle out.

The tranny mounts between the auto and manual are different. Not sure if there's an option besides cutting out the auto mount and welding in the manual one.
