It was amazing.
Took me Three days by myself!
Engine was out the first day, prepped the engine bay and cleaned on second day, third day the H went in flawlessly.
My custom P/S line was perfect however my P/S Pump is no good
It had a bad bearing.
But anyway, I completely put it together. All fluids, everything tight, the car is put down, everythings bled.
Turn the key....it cranks, cranks, cranks and cranks...but no start
I voltimeter it for about 3 hours, my girlfriend randomly suggested the coil (Its internal coil)....lol
Take the known working F one and put it in the H...BAM! It started in about 1/2 a crank
Black JDM smoke comeing out the back and I had it running.
My totally custom wire harness was perfect, I was about to start tearing into it.
I changed the oil and drove it out of my driveway and said "VTEC Engage!"
It didnt hesitate to screech the tires (LSD) through first, chiiiirrrped second, chirped third. It was such a rush! Everything was a blur.
Im used to my 125hp Automatic F22
I was running 200HP off my JDM ECU! With close ratio T2T4 LSD tranny.
The first time I hit VTEC It kept pulling and I hit rev limiter almost immediatly....Mine is at 7900 (on the BB6 tach)
The Fidanza flywheel really makes a difference on take off
I've driven it now for about 50 miles and its just totally different.
It feels way more refined, even though I have the ESP Poly Mounts and the Balancer shaft belt removed, and no P/S (At the moment)
It purrs like a kitten and its not very rough. My old 80's VW Rabbit Diesel was worse. And on the topic of diesel, the engine kinda sounds like it too...lol
So no knocks, no pings, I'm running a CA Complient P13 KL-MT ECU at the moment.
My Vacuum lines are too short so my EGR Valve isnt connected, its giving a code for that.
I had to change the hoses from the heater valve to the head...
The Dealer didnt have the lude hoses so I used a hose from a 98 Accord and just uncurled it.
The P/S suction hose from the Accord wont work, so I used the regular Accord heater hose section (the one that didnt fit) and cut it to fit.
Apart from that everything went togther like it was meant to be there!
All fluids are OEM except oil and DOT 4 Brake Fluid
The Honda Coolant is a wierd blueish color.
I bought P/S Fluid, but my pump wont work.
Edit: After 2 days of driving the engine spun a bearing. This is my DD, so I cant afford the downtime of repairing the engine.
A new one will be bought
I still havnt gotten to post pictures, but then whats the point the engines destroyed....
It all came together so well, I thought it was all too good to be true and it was
R.I.P My H22 it was a journey well spent.
Edit #2: Spun bearing was just from running 5w-30 lol DONT DO THAT! H22's need 10w-30
My VTEC Spool Valve was clogged aswell which made my engine run funky aswell. But now all is well again and I love it!!!
