    H23 manual trans. swap??

Wondering if any H23's in manual, came with LSD?

If so, do they bolt up to our CB7's?

About how much do they run & is gearing an issue? Advantages & disadvantages please.

    thank you much

H23 did not come with LSD. you can buy one aftermarket. Before you decide on a tranny, what is your intent with your car? NA or FI? FI has a tendancy to like the longer gearing of the H23 and f22 trannies. If you are planning NA, the H22 tranny would be the best.

11:1 compression ratio NA are my plans. I didn't so much research on H23 tranny...so I didn't know. Just a quick thought, I figured something new about. I figured they'd be cheaper & bolt up.

So how much an LSD H22 manual tranny run? I'll have to look around. Do you suggest going with that, or getting a quaiffe aftermarket? I'm not going clutch type differential for daily driver.

Would LSD be good for FI though too?

The reason why I'm asking if I want 2 go H22 Turbo but I have heard the H23 tranny is best for that because of the longer gearing. I didn't know they don't have LSD... Who makes a aftermarket for one, and is it hard to install?

that's what I say....NA or FI..point is better traction which will help when I get into AutoX & road racing every now & then.

But please elaborate on the H23 tranny having better gearing....which out of H22, H23 or manual stock F22 is best for Autox/road racing setup?

          thx

LSD is very important for drifting. Without LSD its much harder to control. RWD or AWD is also needed to drift properly

with an H22 tranny would ya still get decent top end...like up to 120 mph

coo, so I'm either going stock F22 manual tranny w/aftermarket quaiffe LSD (~ $800-900)

                or if I have $$:

                H22 manual tranny w/stock LSD (~ $ ??)

                how much for this ^

So a stock H22 Tranny has LSD right?

~ $500 for a H22 LSD tranny in manual of course?!?! I need one in good shape & with reasonable mileage

                    Fizzbob:

Can you hook me up with a contact and/or place that has good rep?

                    Thanks

Also, what is there to consider in swapping a H22 manual LSD tranny into a F22 setup? Do the clutch components go? What about if I go with aftermarket clutch...do I get parts for a Prelude or Accord?

                        Fizzbob:

Do the H22 USDM & JDM manual trannies differ much in terms of gearing?

Obviously the USDM 5 spd w/LSD will be easier to come by is why I ask. This still be good for autocrossing & road racing?

thanks for all the info, great help
