    a1/a4 ecu question

When swapping from a a4 head to a a1 head, does anyone know if the a4 ecu has to be changed to an a1 ecu, or are they the same. If the ecu needs to be changed, where can i find a a1 ecu?

are the A4 and A1 camshafts different? cuz to my knowledge...the A6 differs from the A4/A1....the only diffs between the A4 & A1 are the header...in which ECU changes are not necessary

am I way off here? or is this some new info I did not know of?

this applies to the A6, but not for the A4.

The A4 did not come with the 2ndary butterflies (IAB) like the A6.

        A1 > 4-1 header = 125 hp

        A4 > 4-2-1 header = 130 hp

A6 > 4-2-1 header, intake manifold w/IAB, intake lobes on camshaft have more duration & lift, ECU is different to compensate for IAB & camshaft intake lobes.
