Hybrid transmissions (F22 5th gear into an H22 tranny)... is it possible?

Gotta love my long-yet-descriptive titles!

Anyway, I hate the fact that I get damn near VTEC when I'm cruising at high speeds on the highway. I drive 2-4 hours to meets very often, and a good hour every day to work and school... It eats up a ton of my valuable 93 octane gas!

So, I was contemplating putting the longer 5th gear from the F22 transmission in place of the shorter H22 one. It'll drop at least 500 rpm from my cruising engine speed. Is it possible? And if it is possible, is it something I could do with a little patience and hand tools?

II have been thinking the same thing for a long time now. I read somewhere else of a guy doing it to his crx, he had a lot of pics too. But you think you got it bad. Try going highway speeds in your h22 with a check engine light and no o2 sensor.

On the topic of new gears, does anybody make any gear sets for H22s? I know their pretty common in B series world...
