If I remember correctly, when I did my swap I had to get a belt 35 1/2 inches long.

That measurement will vary depending on where your alternator is adjusted to. Though 3" is a big difference.
If you call your local Honda dealer they may be able to help with a non A/C belt size

when I used my h22 with non ac I went to the auto parts store and asked for a 90-93 DX alternator belt with no A/C.

Or you can take the string or a menswear measuring tape and figure out the length.

I used the menswear measuring tape and has yet to fail me.

Just make sure your alt is 5 or 6 rib. Also check which crank pulley you have. prelude has 6 ribs the accord has 5 rib..

Tell the parts counter guy the length and rib and they should find it for you.

I ran a measuring tape around the pullies. Also, the difference from maybe be that some altenator pullies may vary on aftermarket alternators. I had one so large once that I had to switch the pullies in order to fit.

when i did mine, i asked for a DX belt as well. but the DX belt was just a little bit to small. And when i did another one, on another h22 accord, the DX belt was a little bit to big. so it can vary.

just try to work on your car close to where your getting for belts.

              guess and check

this may or may not help you, my h22 with an accord crank pulley and only the alt, (no PS or AC) was a 37 inch long belt.

Assuming you got your shit running by now, how did you get that H22A pulley to fit without rubbing the chassis. I had to revert to my F22B pully, 5 ribs.

I installed the motor w/o the pulley then i just dropped that end down some to fit the pulley.
