Yes, people use racing harnesses all the time. There are a number of members on this site who have them. I unfortunately, do not know who those members are.

            safer if setup properly.

like used in conjuction with a harness bar via rollcage, proper welds, setup, seat, seat brackets.

I actually attempted this once only because my tan belts were dirty, I was doing an all gray interior swap, and I had access to 1997 V6 gray seatbelts. There is no thread for a 17mm bolt and no passage way for the belts to slide though. It is just not setup to anchor a seatbelt from there. Just deal with it, get a racing harness, or buy a 1992 accord

What kind of wreck was it? Low or high speed impact?

And didn't he break his pelvis and shit? So how is it relevant to safely swapping in a manual seat belt into a car that wasn't designed for them?

Why do people even want to do this swap? If you don't like them that much get a 92 or 93 CB. Or do what I would do and put in a 4 point roll bar and use a 5 or 4 point harness. No use in risking your life just because you didn't like to wear the seatbelts that cam in the 90 91.

Because i did the shit the right way. The seatbelt is still mounted in there. If you want...i can take a pic tomorrow for you..

yeah, i broke my pelvise. but i was just saying that it can be done to where they actually work in a damn wreck, and still hold together.

My broken pelvise didnt have a damn thing to do with my seatbelt swap.
