Hello everyone. Let me begin by introducing myself. I'm Jay Yenom and I honestly haven't done anything too extreme with cars yet. I mean, I've done motor swaps and also in the process of finishing up putting together an H23 w/ H22 head. And this spring/summer I plan to get somewhere with this hobby. So, as of now, I currently have a complete H23 long block and another H22 lying in the garage. First, I was thinking about doing a quick rebuild on the H23 because it had a bad head gasket when I bought it. I mean just replacing the gaskets and getting a valve adjustment. I found this engine rebuild kit on ebay
So, now I'm thinking about rebuilding with this kit.
The main reason why I want to rebuild and run the H23 is because I plan on boosting soon. But the other thing is How satisfied are those who have done the H23/H22 head swap? haha. I know that's a silly question because I'm currently working on one right now, but it's actually a quick put together and get it traded in. And it haven't started yet. Also how about with boost on that particular set-up?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that the H23 bottom w/ H22 head boosted will do much better than a bone stock H22 boosted, right?
Also the other thing that I might be concerned about is the ecu. Which P13 ecu does or does not require a crank sensor, knock sensor?
