~Well those of you who greeted me when i first signed up have already seen my intro page with some of the updates.
~I figures id start one in the "swap" section now that im getting closer to finishing this project .
~This is what i started with...
1993 Honda Prelude SI VTEC- bought the car for $1,000 then six months after finishing the motor swap (JDM H22a/LsD trans) i wrecked it while i was in school in Va. Beach (ATI). So i had it towed home and let it sit for about 2.5 years in a body shop deciding what to do with it ??? (fix or replace)
~Well after breaking down what i would have to pay to fix and what i could pay to replace (with cb7), i decided to go with the four door. Found it on craigslist from a guy who is a member here (cvc7chris) for $550 (not running).
90 Honda Accord DX 190+ on odo.
~So after the first week me and a couple buddies pulled the useless f22a1 out and i sold it. Cleaned/stripped the interior down. Replaced the Accord wheels with the Prelude wheels along with cleaning up the H22 that was pulled a week or two prior.
~JDM H22 w/ LSD
Replaced:
-Timing belt, water pump, & H23 manual tensioner
-All front seals (balance shaft, cam seals, and crank shaft)
-Rear main seal
-Cam plug
-Valve cover gasket and tube seals
-spark plug cover (password JDM carbon kevlar)
-Distributor cap, rotor button, and spark plugs (ngk platinum)
-Password JDM intake manifold gasket
~Im really at the point where im just waiting on parts.
Ive ordered:
-innovative motor mounts
-samco rad hoses
-custom Rywire engine harness
-Megan Racing header (used- purchased from Losiracer2- thanks again!!)
~I recieved the motor mounts and hoses on 2-24-09, but the hoses are ***ity so there going back and im ordering black ones.
~The engine Harness from Rywire was actually stolen by some hood rats in a lexus, so he's in the process of rebuilding that now.
So im hoping within the next 1-2 weeks ill have some better updates and pics of the install.
