How do you install a header on a h22a swapped cb7?
It seems as if the ac line is in the way and you can't get the header out if i just unbolt it from the down pipe and block.
Do I have to remove the AC line? Would that be easiest? Has anyone done this yet? When the h22a was swapped in, I had to take off the alternator and the ac compressor in order to put the header as well as the radiator because I wasn't able to slide the header off because it kept banging into the ac lines.
What I am thinking my options are:
Have someone evacuate the R12 refrigerant and do a r134 retro myself after the new header is on.
OR
Just drain the radiator, remove radiator, remove the alternator from block, remove the ac compressor from block to give me enough room to put the new header on.
My AC has gotten warmer, but not extremely warm. I am thinking some got lost somehow when I was doing the swap? It isn't warm, but it isn't COLD, it just cool, and cooler than ambient temperature.
Does anyone have a DIY r134 ac retrofit with list of parts needed to buy? I can get the r12 evacuated for free so I think I am leaning toward the r134 retrofit.
Suggestions, comments?
