Is there JDM F22A??

I friend of my just did a engine swap and got and JDM F22A for his 91 lx. he was told it an low millage from an japan honda accord. Now When I search the net for JDM honda engine I have never seen an F22A list at all? even the normal replacement one or JDM rebuilt one? IT does seem to exist. does anyone know if it any diff from US ver say the F22a6?? I ask one of my penpal in japan and he say there no such thing is an F22A in a japanese accord.

Did he just got rip off by the the engine shop? if there no JDM F22A then it just a low millage US F22A6 that he could have goten for about $500. Should we demand our money back?? The receit say JDM engine, and the block said JDM engine inspect in japan?? I check and the block say F22A with nothing after it? did they files it extra number off?? I'm so piss if we got rip, I told my friend any JDM engine even same type should have more power then the US engine.

I was thinking the same thing, I did all over the web and came up blank. F20's would be the JDM SOHC for accord. I did forget about THE EDM European engine. I guess the one my friend got was an low millage EDM F22a6 dame I told him to return the motor but he going turbo so he want the low compression on the f22a. but $1100 is way to much, could he find an 40k miles F22a6 cheaper elsewhere?? best I seen is 78kmiles 1993 F22a6 with intake/exhaust/tranny/ecu for $900
