    True that.

The dizzy may come to you fucked up. That's another +$100. You may get in and see your steering rack is leaking. +$150. Your axles could be showing wear. +$100. And etc.

I'm not saying it's going to happen to you, but it did me.

Have some more money set aside if you want to do the swap thorough.

read my swap journal for reference but yeah have some extra money for extra parts. it's easier to do with the motor out.

So would 2500$-3000$ cover everything, just to be on the safe side?

But who can guarantee the swap/engine is well maintained and won't break down 50 miles later? Just ask the number of people that have bought used, modified cars and have had the worst luck ever.

Not saying that a good apple doesn't come every once in a while, but it's rare. I try to stay away from already modified cars.

But yes, $3000 would definitely cover a swap. If taken to the right people, or done correctly, it would be a very healthy running H22(assuming the h22 is already in good running order.

i understand, trust me, look i still have mine after being sold and wrecked twice, and drowned...

when i bought my motor off ebay, it was $500, supposedly good, i was slightly building it anyways so we took it apart, and luckly, because all 4 pistons ringlands were busted,, luckly the walls weren't scarred at all...

put my mahle gold series pistons in and haven't had a lick of trouble other than routine things, since,

and your smart for not buying modified cars,, it's better to start from a stock platform

$3000 should be enough to cever it all if you play it smart with the money

and starting from a stock car you will know exactly what has been done to it regarding the mods

That's true. I bought my car with mods on it and I had to keep calling the guy when something went rong just to see if the mods afftected the problem. Now that my car is running good for the most part, time to add some real mods.

I'm trying to slowly build my h22 to get about 220whp . Any specific things I should buy to accomplish this?

That all depends on what you're willing to do to your engine. Do you want to rip into the block?

You can achieve that goal without touching the bottom end. It will take something along the lines of skunk2 pro2 cams, head and valvetrain work, different IM and lots of tuning. Also, a nice exhaust would be great. (not some cheap 300 dollar header, try....600+)

Well I already have a short ram intake so I'm sure ican use the same tubing and filter and change the coupling. And my car already has a straight pipe running to the back and I'm getting a different muffler. Um I would love to go in depth with my swap by doing head work but after the swap I'm going to be running low on cash for a while. What are some easy mods that will get me more horsepower? I.e. Change ecu (which 1is best), header ..

it would probably be best if you said exactly how much money you have to spend on extra's for the motor so people can give you reasonable idea's
