    2. when going with a header i realize the jdm header flows very well already, so does anyone know of a reputable site to get the jdm downpipe?

lovely! that is just a honda dealership away! i might just try to ebay a h23ax manual tensioner i guess.

another question that has a quick answer is can i switch my brand new f22a1 distributor w/ a external coil to a h22a???
      thanks

You can switch out the internals.

Take out f22 dizzy guts, do the same with h22 dizzy. Put f22 guts in h22 housing. Done.

you guys are so helpful!!! i have a few more questions for the willing...

                  1. will a pair of stock type-s cams bring any significant gains?

                  2. what is the best bang for my buck as far as valve springs and retainers?

                  3. will a f22a1 serpentine belt work still? mine only has a few thousand miles on it.

*here is my parts list so far let me know if i need to add anything.*
                  jdm dp
                  oem water pump
                  timing belt

                  bisimoto IM gasket
                  all main seals
                  oem head gasket
clutch slave and master cylinders oem honda

1.probably not. get some decent aftermarket.

                        2. depends on what you want to do.

                        3. yes but arent they like 7 dollars?

not sure if slapping on some type-s/sir-t/euro-r cams will liberate any extra power.

the heads are different to begin with.
