Ok i got an idea. I havent really though about this but what if you put gsr cam gears on your f22b. Their raidus is shorter so it should fix your tension problem.

Um they wont work, if you could use them, then i think everyone would be using them because civic and teg stuff goes for hella cheap all the time.

won't work, you lower the diameter of the gear and it changes the rotation speed of the cams, which will speed up the cams, causing them to get out of time and..... you know what happens next.
the b18a1 cam gears are the same as the h23, when i worked @ honda, i looked into this.

no worries man, we all have to learn sometime.
h23 gaskets & seal will work. not sure of the valve seals tho. f22aX head gasket, oil pan also.

cb9h23: Im thinking that the B16 and B20 cam gears are also the same as the H23/F22B cam gears, have you ever heard of this, or can you confirm it?

I D0 did notice a huge difference, after driving my car and then driving my wifes auto f22a4 and my sister inlaws 5spd f22a4, i can definatly notice.

mine was 675 shipped from hmotorsonline.

i think the non-vtec (b20) are the same, but the b16/b18 vtec are not. i'll call my buddy @ honda and find out for sure.

Yea! Thats what I was thinking of the non-vtec B20(?) and B18B(?)...please see what you can do to see if that true or not.

As for my swap vs. F22A1, I noticed a huge difference, especially in the high RPM's. But I also had almost nothing done to F22A1, and have done numerous upgrades to the F22B, so really its not a fair comparison...

                          I paid $695 shipped from Japanstarmotor.com

I can confirm that B16 Adj cam gears and H23A1 adj cam gears are the exact same part #...

From what I understand... Aftermarket B17/B16/B20/B18 and H23A1 cam gears are all the same...
