simple awsner is yes.
long awsner is I personally wouldn't do it. you'll give up some gas mileage and also run at ~4krpm (@80MPH) when cruising on the highway. that's a little too high for what the engine was designed for.
the tranny that I'd reccomend swaping onto a F22 would be the H23 tranny, which has longer gears then the H22 though still shorter then the F22's gears.

just as he said. yes you can, but i definitely wouldn't recommend doing it for a long period of time.
just drop the h22 trannin with the engine.. save time and money in the long run.. and need i say some power too!Adam - Retired OG member from '03

I have a 91 lx with 243,000 miles I have a H22 tranny with a stage 2 clutch and factory lighten fly wheel and I love it. I don't suggest you get the tranny if you do a lot of highway driving but if you are pretty much all city driving like me I would do it but it you get the tranny make sure you get a clutch that can put down all the torque. I have pulled on my friends S-10 with a v-6. So I would think about it, it is a lot of fun there is a big noticeable change.
