i was unaware of that, do you think i would be better of then buying the same engine like mine(mine is on the way out), take the head to the shop to port it and polish it, change the timing belt, and just putting it back in the car?. My goal is just to have a nice leak/smoke/troublesome free engine. when i go to the junk yard what signs should i look for a healthy engine?

        thanks alot for the help

As far as in stock form both motors are about equal. But the F22a (93) will really shine once a cam is added and some porting is done.
          wat?

                $1000+ isn't too cheap to most CB7Tuners.

Where in the hell did he say he wanted to go fast? He said he wants a "nice leak/smoke/troublesome free engine."

The f22b1 has more compression, but they say the vtec is not for performance but for economical use...

I raced 1 the other day and got him til I hit 4th...

The f22b1 and h23 motors have very simliar gears.

If u want it in swap it, but if anything, get that trans.

die noob (sorry this isn't the begginer forum)

if your motor is about to die and you can get it cheap then do it!

you can always boost it down the road, although i think there is less after market support for that engine.

its a worthless swap for power IMO and a waste of time but if the situation is right for you then its a swap worth doing.

engine swaps allways cost money for extra parts, so remember your going to be putting lots of money with any swap so be wise
