Which Engine...40,000 mile stock engine again or a H22?

Sup Everyone! I have a question. I have a 93 accord lx wagon (automatic), and right now the transmission...I think, is about to go. The car makes a whirring sound every time I accelerate, when i put the car in reverse the gear change is a bit rough sometimes, and the car seems somewhat sluggish. The engine also has 170,000+ miles on it. If it is the transmission, then I can get a new transmission and a newer version of the current engine with just 40,000 miles installed for $1200 by a friend. Its either that or I pay a little more and get a H22? If I get the H22 swap, will I have to go for illegal smog checks? Any, and all info would be a big help. Thanks!

Get in conatact with http://www.hmotorsonline.com Get a H22 Automatic shipped for $1975 and do the swap yourself. I was a non believer that it can be done yourself, and trust me, its not that hard. Everything bolts up and the wiring is easy as hell.

And to elaborate on that, no, I dont have any air tools, nor do I own an engine hoist.

You can also check out www.noyanusa.com and call them about their H22's.. they always have huge sales on their engines.

I paid $1450 for my engine shipped, and most of my friends paid $1395 shipped.. so they hook a lot of people up.

I'd go with the H22, it's a very reliable engine and you'll get some added power that you know you want.

go h22 youll have alotta people fooled get a h22 complete swap then juice it. They will be like wtf is under that hood

Hey guys thanks for the replys and info. I truly appreciate it. Unfortunately I couldnt get the H22a with the setup i wanted for cheap, so im going to gather a lil more funds and finally get that h22a. For now I just got a japanese f22a in...the only good thing about that is...its less then a year old and its really clean compared to my old engine. Anyways just wanted to give you an update.
