    swapping f22 vtec into civic.

    Friend bought a 4door auto civic with blown d15 1.5ll motor... dude gave him a f22 something....out of a 5speed 95 cd. SOHC vtec...

this car isnt being bulit for performance its just more or less whats got to be done. he traded a nice ass miatia for a jeep wrangler, dirtbike, shotgun, this 4 door civic and an accord motor. and hes giving it to his wife..

so..not looking for theres not point to do this. cause sohc vtec sucks... i know this already but its the motor i got to work with here.

    use the f22
    ecu
    tcu
    harness
    tranny
    shifterlinkage

change connectors and what not from the chassie harness from the civic

buy a civic mount kit for h22 or f22 swap

any idea on axles? some kinda hybird shaft shit?

    downpipe issues?

    Lots of wiring?

Please, Leave me some feeedback on my ride ^CLICK ^CLICK ^CLICK

It would be helpfull to know what year civic. If this is an 88-91 you have some work on your hands. If newer you should have more luck.

Why would you put an F22 in a Civic?

because the civic has a blown motor and we have a good f22 just sittin in the corner and my friends wife needs a ride to get the kids back and forth where they want to go? good enough reason?

no because it will cost much more to put the f in then picking up a used d at the jy. If they only reason you want it is for a car to get around in.

its not costing me a thing... this is something my friend is doing and i am just trying to help him out....

                  the civic is a 92
the motor is a f22b1 out of an accord made in 12/95 so i guess that means its an obd2 motor...

i know i need motor mount kit
                  what ecu should we use?
                  motor harnesss from witch motor...
D series Dizzy fit a F22b? the mountting spots look identical.

i mean if i have to i can use all the f22b wiring... motor harness ecu harness all wiring under dash use the accords cluster.. this is something i want to make happen.....

but i would rather use all the civics wiring underdash and under hood just use the f22b harness to extend wires and add sensors by straight wire to the ecu

Isnt the mount kit like $500 and then you have to do some other thing?

Its much cheaper and easier to get a d series and drop it in, You can just sell the accord motor and use the money to drop in the d series.

you can get a mount kit for around 300.......

and yea iam going to have to have custom axles
                      custom wiring
                      custom exsaust....

its something me and my friend want to do though... he dont want a 1.5 D in it no more.... what would be a better swap? b series? acura LS swap?
