          ive never ever heard tht...
my boy had an h22 with an h-series tranny for a while an then jus now he put a b series tranny, an the b-series made hella difference ( on an EK )... his car is way quicker now but on the highway he suffers because he runs about 4,000 RPM at 90 mph... my f tranny sure as hell doesnt run 4000 rpm for 90 mph, im more like 2,200 - 2,600 rpm at 90mph....

And FTW you just described a H-series tranny which happens to be the transmissions that came with the H-series motor from the factory. How's them apples?

yea the h2b will pull harder because of the b-series gearing and the 200hp to back it up..but theres too much fabrication in do so imo the money your going to drop for the CUSTOM h2b in a cb7 could be spend just boosting up the h22. More than likely for the h2b swap your looking at re-mounting the tranny, custom axles for the transmission..and getting the h2b kit

but regardless it would be pretty badass if someone were to take the time to do so...

if your looking at the gear ratios then the higher the number the shorter the gear and if you want the shortest gears h tranny get the T2W4, but good luck finding one best bet is for an M2B4

x2...i'd rather just boost it than do this B tranny swap.

Really your options are to get a t2w4 (which is really difficult/ slightly expensive)

                        OR

Get any non-lsd h or f tranny and buy a custom gear set or final drive and have a shop put it together. (really expensive but well worth it.)

The only problem with option 2 is that if you want lsd AND a custom gearset or final drive then you're gonna have to spend a considerable amount of money for the combination of both features. I recently found out that you can't put an aftermarket final drive on a factory lsd tranny. Which sucks.....

When i called gearspeed.com they said that to rebuild a non lsd tranny with a quaife lsd installed it would be $2200. They also said that if you want them to install anything extra like a different final drive then you'll have to supply it and pay extra for them to install.

You can look up mfactory for custom gearsets and final drives. Personally i think this is the way to go although it is very expensive. You can get B series gearing or better without the work required to get a b series tranny in a cb.

                            Good point Chrisisiced...

I personally would go with a T2W4 Tranny.. The gearing is short, lsd is helical, and its final drive allows you to keep the rpms in vtec during quick shifts etc.. .. I have one in my ride and hey get this i have one for sale..

uhh actually FTW the H-series isnt quicker(shorter) than the B-series tranny , that would be the whole concept behind an H2B swap genius...
the b-series tranny is shorter so u would keep ur RPM`s high an closer to the V-tec range so that you can run your h22 harder through all your gears
