H2B anyone???

has anyone ever done a H2B swap onto a CB7 chassis ???

( H2B= H22 with B series tranny an adapter plate )

i`ve seen this swaps on a couple civics an they pull hella hard...
if anyone has seen this or done it on a CB7 , does it pull hard ??? if so how hard ???

No point in doing it to a CB7. The H2B is so that you don't have to swap to a cable-shifter assembly in the Civics/Tegs, so you can keep the stock transmission, which is shifted via rods.

not really , the main reason ppl do H2B swaps is because the b-tranny has a lower ratio so quicker gears.. and once you get up there in hp the h22 tranny breaks 2nd gear like its job, unlike the b-tranny...

so has anyone swapped an H2B on a CB7 chassis ?

No. It's worthless on a CB7, just like I stated earlier.

you said civics do this so they can keep the stock tranny, but no civic has a stock b-series tranny other than the Si... so i don understand...

I meant stock as in rod shifted transmissions. Our cars use cables instead. You would have to cut out part of the floor pan to install rod shifters to use a B-series transmission, as well as the $1000 H2B kit, etc. It's not worth it. It would be much more cost effective to build a stronger H22 transmission.

Gear ratio wise? H tranny is longer i believe.
