Yeah.. I spent around $2000 in all with labor and the engine it self. But I bought a few parts here and there.

they are still waiting on the drivers side axle, the transmission mount bracket and one other part but i forget what it is. these are parts that they should have ordered in the beginning because they have done this swap before in the accord, i am not sure about a tranny swap though but i think that they should have had these parts long ago. they are doing my car when my motor gets here from japan, (a 97-01 prelude sir blue top), they promise that it will only take 3 days because my car is a 5-speed already but we will see how long it takes.

just wondering so are you now converting your car to OBD II or staying to OBD I? cause going wiht that motor will be OBD II not one.. that kind of swap will just be more headaches initself.. right now im going through a JDM f22b manual swap and my and my buddies are havening a headache in itself.. all the mechanical stuff is pretty much done.. its just all comes down to the wiring up

The guys at alternative are saying that it is obd-I and if it isn't then its not too much more wiring to do. it will be worth it.

An OBDII motor would just need a conversion harness. I think they go for like $75... not a big deal.

i don't care if the motor is obd-II because the harness is cheap and i got the blue top with 220hp and lsd for only $300 more than a 93-96 h22a. the blue top has higher compression, a much better flowing head, forged pistons, a better down pipe, and its a newer motor, plus it is very rare, in fact i ordered it may 10,2004 through steve at hmotorsonline and he gave me the runaround so there is a guy out of florida in japan right now and he found my motor over there and will be back in the states soon with my motor.

The blue top is the Euro R motor. Very nice

I too am surprised about Steve giving you the runaround. He was great when I ordered my motor. Did you happen to call on a Monday? He's busy as hell on Mondays, and he would probably blow you off then... Still, I'm glad you found a good price on a really cool motor. I hope everything works perfectly!

There are actually a couple blue tops.

The F20(B?) VTEC that came in the JDM SIR-Ts, the H22 that came in the EURO-R Accords, and there was also a H23 VTEC that came in the late generation Accord Wagons in Japan.
