    **F20B/easy uprgrades?**

i'll be getting my motor in about 2 weeks..i don't plan on installing it till mid sept. but would like to upgrade certain parts if possible. i know this motor is similar to the H22, therefore,

-can i use Skunk valvetrain, cams
-convert to external dizzy that i have from my f22b
-convert to the manual tensioner from my f22b
    -headers for the H22
-what timing belt..just want to make sure

dont quote me but i believe its just like the h22a besides being 2.0L h22a skunk 2 cams can be used as the valvetrain is still setup the same.. this is my assumption.. same thing for cam gears..

the size of the crank pulley im not sure it is an F so it may have the Fs larger pulley or the H22as smaller one.. that is one thing to be found out..

    like i told you

do bolt ons and a lightweight flywheel.. anything from there on is gonna cost you tires

    intake-same as h22a's
header-same as h22a.. ur goal is in being different right?? how many ppl do you see with the prospeed/elite header or SMSP or AN-R ... those headers are TRUE race oriented...

exhaust.. id still sport ur apexi WS

fidanza or w.e make u feel comfy with 8-10lb flywheel
    clutch upgrade

as for the dizzy.. you can convert any dizzy setup.. just some wiring involved.. it is OBDII so it may take more effort than just doing OBDI internal dizzy to OBDI external.. so that we shall see..

about the tensioner.. the f22b/h23a share the same tensioner right? then it still applies.. and yes you can still use it.. like i said though this is all my assumptions on this motor... which not to many have ventured into.. i.e making this.. "different"

I believe you can use the f22b intake manifold, because it has p13 stamped on it.

I doubt autos have a different intake manifold. It wasnt a smart move by honda if it does..

thats what i thought..read up on one of the forums saying that the autos had a smaller tb, and different cams...i guess i'll find out when i get the motor in about 10-12 days.

I thought you said the upperplenum was stamped P13 and the lower was the H23A1/P14...???

I would personally keep the F20B manual cams... they are pretty damn close to TypeS cams... dunno about the auto cams though...

the ports on the F20B head are beautiful though...

..damn, sorry to hear about that kid but naw, didn't get the motor from him(don't know anything about that). as a matter of fact, WikkeDV16 put me onto the motor, no tranny, but a fidanza flywheel, and an UR crank pulley should help me out on the revs..
