    Looking for a picture of 16" Slipstreams on a lowered CB7 (16s)

I'm worried they might look a little small . . . I did a search and couldn't find any pictures or even references to pictures of Accords on 16" Slipstreams.

I'll be running H&R Race springs, so that should be about 2 1/4 - 2 1/2" lower than stock, or about 1/2" to 3/4" of wheel well gap.

    Thanks in advance!

does it have to be 16" slipstreams, or will any 16 do (personally, i don't see the difference, but it's your question, not mine).

accords on 16s, with a drop:

93accordex, when he was on advan tc's

skully, 4 x 225/45/ZR16 OZ Alufelgen mit neuen Sommerreifen (i think that means some sort of oz wheel, during the summers)

    92accorddx, rota circuits

Thanks very much uncle_el (are you actually a big LL fan??? I remember rollin back in the day pounding out tracks from "Mama Said Knock You Out" . . . still have the CD!)

I think maybe the 16"s do look a little small after seeing those pics, but it's hard to build a 17" wheel package that would be as light as the 16" Slipstreams . . . aside from something forged, Japanese and wayy $$$$.

The closest I can come is the Velox PG-5S forged wheel, claimed to be about 12.5 lb. each on a 17" x 7".

      http://www.veloxperformance.com/whee...sp?Wheel=Pg-5s

They go for about $300 each, special order in the 4 x 114.3mm pattern; takes at least 45-60 days to get them.

But I can get the Slipstreams in 16"s for less than 1/2 that price . . . decisions, decisions, decisions.

damn, you think the 16s look small?!?!?!?! i think they look great.

$300 per wheel... for velox. i wouldn't do it, but that's just me ($1200 not including tires).

        you can get:
-volk te-37s for 373.50 per wheel (16 in), 468.95 per wheel (17 in).
        -advan rg's 400 per wheel (16 in), 460 per wheel (17 in)
        - axis ne-o's 250 per wheel (17 in) though axis isn't known for lightweight wheels
        - axis touring cups 240 per wheel (17 in)
        - racing hart evolution c5's 224.99 per wheel (17 in)
        - enkei rsf-2's 127 per wheel (17 in)
        - enkei rsv 166 per wheel (17 in)
        - rays g games 77 wolf 234 per wheel (17 in)

i guess the velox's aren't bad, just not a big fan of 'em (no real reason).

I didn't say 16"s looked "small," I said they might look "a little small," depending on how low the car is, what tire size you choose, etc.

I haven't eliminated 16"s from my thinking, I love the lower price and possibly better ride quality with the taller sidewall profile!

Keep in Velox is not a manufacturer, they're a marketing company. The wheels are made FOR them by manufacturers in Europe (in the case of the higher end forged wheels) and in Southeast Asia like Rota and Konig. I don't think there would be a quality issue with Velox wheels.

But for a higher quality, low cost option in 17"s, I am also considering the new Kosei K1 TS - it's claimed to be 14.1 lbs in the 17" x 7" size, $199 each at tirerack.com.

          http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_gara...3&autoModClar=

It looks a lot like the old OZ Racing F1 Cup, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I really want a dark gray/anthracite or matte black wheel, which the K1 TS is apparently not available in (only silver and light grey) . . .

Thanks for all the wheel ideas/prices!
