there may have been some replies that were lost with the database error a couple of days ago

      black92accord posted a wheel weight guide: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=591

offsets aren't included, but it may give you a sense of what's out there. i'm not sure if you want just ANY rim that is 18 x 8, or if the SPECIFIC rim you're interested in is 18 x 8.

another factor that may affect the rim size you desire is: are you dropped? if so, how much? reason i ask is b/c of the front control arm bar, the fenders, and the fender well.

in a straight line, you may be ok, except for hitting potholes. when turning, the wheel may hit 1 or 2 or all 3 of those components.

i don't know enough about specific offsets to give you any idea about that. hopefully some of the other cb7 fam. can give you an idea!

The biggest I've seen is 19x7.5 (Racing Hart C2 - which unfortunately are discontinued). I've have never seen anyone cross the 8 inch barrier. I have 18x7.5 with a 40 offset... any bigger in width and my wheels will tub out.

The wheel weight guide isn't 4th gen accord specific so I wouldn't go using that as a reference to look for rims; it's just there for weight comparisons if you are the tech-head type.

and please... no remarks like this... "this is "... It'll piss of the moderators and put you on their shit list.

We don't have that many members yet and it may take days before a thread is even replied to especially one as specific as your request. Please be patient and it will be answered eventually. We've had some server problems as of late and posts were lost in that time frame. We apologize of the inconvenience.

So you guys think the most would be 8 in wide with no/some problems or 7.5 with no problems?

7.5 with an offset of 40 will yeild no problems. Honestly, I think you may run into problems with 8.

7.5 has worked for me so far, im not sure of the offset, maybe 43 or 45, i knew at one point but it just slipped my mind. as for if its positive or negative 40 offset on his volks, im 99% sure its positive.

That answers my question about 6.5 width...

That answers my question about 98-03 honda accord wheels. I am wanting the 6 inch wide accord steel rims or the 6.5 inch wide accord v6 steel wheels. And since they have they same 4 lug pattern and only an increase of 1inch for a 15 wheel size I knew they would fit, but the only question was if they had the wrong offset or if they were too wide for my '91 but after this thread they should fit EASILY since your talking about 7.5-8inches. Now all i need are someone too sell me these. Its my idea of cheap but needed mod.

i believe the ideal offset for 4th gen's is +42mm. and with stock accord 6-6.5" width, you should be fine
