Tallest tire with 17's

I have a friend giving me some rims for free so no complaints. But they are 5 lug. So I put them on CL and a guy wants to trade me for some enkei 17 with 50 series tire. Is 50 going to rub is it to tall?

They look kinda dorky to me but I know they fit at stock height. I have seen 225/55/17's on a CB. Monster truck status.

Plus they are tech free well free +gas so no complaints here. He says the tires are brand new supposly. IDC really just want some rims. You seen the new cb yet?

I have 205/50 on my 17 inch wheel. Suspension isn't stock but still no issues at all. I know 50 is a bit too chunky and looks weird but there's been so much construction going on here the last few years I prefer the extra rubber.

Thanks guys ya it does need more low. Thats what i'm going for now. As well as redoing all the bushings and wheel bearings. And 4wd conversion. And motor swap.

Smart ass haha ya four wheel disc. I had the coupe with h22 lsd and 4wd in it but man I HATE ABS more than I hate apple products.
