Here's more information, based on my tire.

      195/60/14:

      Diameter: 23.21in / 590mm
      Circumference: 72.93in / 1850mm
      Sidewall: 4.61in / 117mm
      Tread: 7.68in / 195mm

Next, I'm going to give information on a 215/45/17 to show you the difference.

      215/45/17:

      Diameter: 24.56in / 624mm
      Circumference: 77.16in / 1960mm
      Sidewall: 3.78in / 96mm
      Tread: 8.46in / 215mm

Here's the difference between the two tires.

      Diameter: 1.35in / 34mm
      Circumference: 4.23in / 107mm
      Sidewall: -0.83in / -21mm
      Tread: 0.79in / 20mm

      The 215/45/17 is 5.8% larger than the 195/60/14. Speedometer will read 60 mph / 100 km/h when actual speed would be 63.48 mph / 105.8 km/h

Now, let's take a look at the difference between the 195/60/14 and the 235/45/17

      195/60/14:

      Diameter: 23.21in / 590mm
      Circumference: 72.93in / 1850mm
      Sidewall: 4.61in / 117mm
      Tread: 7.68in / 195mm

      235/45/17:

      Diameter: 25.27in / 642mm
      Circumference: 79.39in / 2017mm
      Sidewall: 4.13in / 105mm
      Tread: 9.25in / 235mm

      Difference:

      Diameter: 2.06in / 52mm
      Circumference: 6.46in / 164mm
      Sidewall: -0.47in / -12mm
      Tread: 1.57in / 40mm

The 235/45/17 tire is 8.85% larger than the 195/60/14 tire. The speedometer will display 60 mph / 100 km/h when actual speed would be 65.31 mph / 108.85 km/h

Great information here, but one small point of interest for you. The DX/LX have 185/70-14 tires stock, while the EX/SE/all other models with 15" wheels have 195/60-15 stock.

Also, here's a great web-based app that shows graphically what you are doing.
