so does does anyone that has said anything in here so far actually run any setup thats considered "flush"?

being flush is having as little space between the tire/wheel and the body of the car. crazy camber is necessary to fit bigger, LOWER offset wheels. the first picture is Jake/Slammed4thgen and his wheels are 16x8 +0. mine were 16x8 +15.

anyone that says Jake wasn't flush doesn't understand the concept. tucked isn't flush. you should have more than some tire tucked when your flush. granted, tucked can be just as cool if not cooler that fluch in some cases.

      hellaFlush

      Tucked

that 610 is probably one of the coolest cars ever.

If you want to be flush, decide what stance you want. then pick an appropriate wheel/tire setup. Get yourself some SERIOUS suspension. Thats coils and all the adjustable rods and arms needed to re-align. its not really that hard.

oh, and a hammer. to make room under the wheel wells.

does it matter if it's tucked, flushed or not? I mean, as long as it looks good. right? you can have a tucked or flushed looking stance, but if the rest of the car doesn't flow along, what's the point? not trying to bash on anyone. just saying..........

edit: I've been complimented many times and was asked to show my car at hellaflush, show's thrown by PRO-MOTION, etc., but I never went because I know my car is way out of place to be in their league. and this is when my car was tucking tires front and rear. LOL.

          this is true.

its all about the person putting the car together. everyone looks at a car thats flush and ooo's and aahh's about it. or bashes it about how dumb and anti-performance it is.

but so many people just dont realize how easy it is. my buddies 92 miata, set on coils with diamond racing wheels, already has fully adjustable suspension. $300 on basic coils and $400 on wheels. Done.

that is only one type of stance though. Hellaflush shows are really all about stance. whether its tucked, flush, dumped, cambered, or whatever, its all about standing out in a crowd of the same shit over and over.

on here, anyone sees a CB around with an OEM flushmount, OEM fogs, Intersections, rear fog, digital climate control, one-piece headlights, etc and they think "damn, that car is awesome" because it has all this stuff you dont see everywhere. but that isn't gonna get your car in a magazine article, or a picture of your car on Canibeat, or any huge amount of attention at a general car show.

but squeeze some 18x10 -22 Work Meisters under a CB thats Dumped on $2000 of suspension with a boosted K24 with a K20 head and drive that beast to a meet with no hood on, you'll get more attention that you ever need. its the same reason perfectly straight dudes paint their cars pink and the wheels green.

flush is about ride height and the vertical plane of the lip of the rim and the lip of the fender....

i said jake's car isn't flush because it's simply not. he's slammed/ stanced. he has the low offset wheels, he has the lowered ride height, however the lip of his wheel is not on the same vertical plane as the lip of the fender...

that depends on your definition of flush.

the literal definition of it would mean exactly that. Hellaflush is a term used to describe cars that have minimal space between the wheel/tire and the body of the car.

two totally different terms. The mistake I, and many others make is using the word flush in place of the term "hellaflush".

Jake wasn't flush, he was hellaflush. Shadow made a thread about this a long time ago.

Hellaflush to me is the way the car sits. The rims or tires are sitting flush with the fenders...if its got a little poke, a little tuck, a little rub...it can be hellaflush...depends what suspension and rims/tires youre running too

Thanks Flatline, that's what I believe too and how it should be. (isn't that what it is anyways? )

Would you guys recommend replacing all the control arms, tie rods, etc if I want it too last long without problems? The CB I have has about 108,750 miles.

having your car always sitting that low isn't good for daily driving. I wouldn't recommend it.

neither is ponding rev limiter like LoDollar does all the time. Or driving through construction like i have to everyday.

I drove my CB everyday scraping the slightest blemish in the road and shattering road reflectors. I had to drive up on 2x4's then cinderblocks after removing the front bumper cover just to get a 3" profile jack under the front of my car.

I also had 6* of camber in the rear wheels and 4.5* in the front on slightly stretched tires. (205/45/16 on 8" wide wheels) which isn't good for longevity at all. 8 month old front wheel bearings had to be changed because of that.

and i didnt even have excessive tire wear. a little more than normal yeah, and focused on the inside but after 4 months you could just barely tell.

until its illegal here in FL, ill have my car as low as i can get it (resonably for me which is still slammed) and as gangster as i want.

my goal is to squeeze something like 18x10.5-12" +10 or lower rear wheels and nothing smaller than a 9" wide up front equally deep on my s13 vert. FAR from what most people would consider a decent daily driver.

205/45 on a 16 rim isn't stretched at all. I'm at 195/50 and my brother is at 195/45 on a 9.5 inch rim. And it is not daily driving friendly. I don't care how gangster anyone is. Once you have put new oil pans on and messed up a few lips, you don't want to ride slammed anymore for daily. I use to think that I was gangster too. Till now, I regret it. But if you want to, more power to you. I'm just trying to b a nice guy and putting out my experience and my consequences that happened to me.

                              205/45 on a 16 inch wide wheel?!

                              lol

                              I think you meant on a 16x8

Either way I have 205/40r16 tires on a 16x7.5 and it is slightly stretched, but nothing to even think about really.

This is 205/45r17 on an 8 inch wide wheel:

it was a mild stretch. every tire brand and model is different and stretches differently. but 195/45 on 9.5 is pretty serious.

and i understand where your coming from. im not new to this. messing up lips is nothing. and my oil pan sits an inch higher than my front subrame so im clear there. I dont mind going the extra twelve miles to get it done how i want. But ever since i got to this point with the CB, nothing is the same. I dont even like most cars unless they're slammed.

On another note, i just picked up KSport Full coils for the 240 tonight for $300. Its not hard to find a deal if you keep your eye open.
