ok so i got some 18" rims from my brothers ex girlfriend a few years ago..so the rims are 18x8.5" 5 lug rims..that all i know about them i tried looking them up & found nothing. i was told they may have came off a truck because she actually got them from her dad for my brother..but my brother didnt want them. the rims now are just sitting around my house collecting dust with no tires or lug locks..its hard for me to sell the rims but its kinda hard to get rid of them with no tires so i started to give up..well the other day i saw some 20x7.5" i wanted to buy for my cb7 but i dont have the money for both the rims & tires..soo i saw that i could buy some wheel adapters/spacers the will convert a 4 stud into a 5 stud..some i've seen didn't look safe but i found a set that does look safe for about $100

so my first question is will my rims stick out like im from compton being that they are 8.5" with a 35-45mm adapter?

my second question is what tire size will i need for low profile tire for these rims..not to thin not to thick?

my third question is will the rims fit without rubs?

my four qustion will they ride rough?

1. It all depends on the actual offset the wheels and then you would have to add the adapter thickness as well.

2. With that wide of wheel you would probably need atleast 225/40s and that might have a stretched look to it.

3. All depends on the offsets and your suspension components.

4. The ride has to do with what tire you decide to run plus your suspension.

Try to get some more pictures, like of any markings that on the spokes or anything.

remember that those are larger rims than stock PLUS you using adapters instead of doing a ligit 5 swap. so they will also act as spacers so those are going to stick out FAR!

ok i understand that you got these from a relation but 1 they are 18 inch and 2 they are 5 lug and you want to use adapters... its gonna look horrible to say the least in complete honesty.not trying to flame or anything just giving you words of advice so that you dont invest in something and be disappointed and have everyone else look at you "funny".

options:

see if they fit the prelude 5 lug pattern and if so then do a legit 5 lug swap so they will look somewhat decent.

sell them and buy something else preferably in your oem bolt pattern. and 20s ( if they even fit with the rubberband tires ) would lift the cb up about even with a jeep.

these can be pulled off but it all depends on the offset, i would say nothing less than +35 is doeable since the thinnest 4 to 5 adapters i have seen are 35mm and that would put you at zero offset. if they are above +35 then that would be a lot better

with the adapters, 215/35/18's, and negative camber these will more than likely work well on the cb

if these are for you dd you may want to think about it because with that setup you'll be buying tires every couple of months

first of all, you have to figure out what offset the wheels are

if the offset is too low then these wheels will not work for you because in addition to the low offset you will be pushing the wheels out farther with the adapters

if the wheels are a high offset then this would be very doable

first things first, check the offset on the wheels and go from there

He doesn't want to run spacers. He want's to install an adapter with 5 new studs that would act as a spacer also.
