    ap2 v1

Just thought I'd shared my new set of wheels

heres how it looks next to the cb.

I drove 200+ miles and 1/2 tank of gas for these baby (1 way). They where in Savannah, G.A. I took a pic of the cb when I got to my destination.
I don't think anybody ever pulled off a whole set F&R . So I'm gonna see if I can make it happen.
    More pics to come.

Love those wheels! Almost bought a set of four rear (8.5" width) wheels for winters, but their offset is just not aggressive enough for my setup..

Just an advice though..Be prepared to purchase a pair of 20mm spacers (at least) for the 8.5" width rear wheels...17x8.5" +65 is much too high of an offset for our cars, no matter if you mount them up front or in the rear..Trust me I've done my homework This is how much gap I had with 17x9" +42 between wheel and both front and rear knuckle/trailing arm..

        Front..

        Rear..

Again, that's 9" wide, +42 offset....8.5" +65 offset means that your wheels will go further in about 16.65mm compared to the pics above..And as you can see from these pics, I barely have 5mm clearance between wheel and suspension components, let alone 17mm

So yeah, a pair of 20mm spacers (Or bigger..25-30mm) for the 8.5" width pair of wheels and you'll be good to go!

thank you for the tip, you forgot to add longer wheel studs. what lenght would you recommend to keep the factory lugs flush with the wheel?

No problem man...As for longer wheel studs, technically you don't HAVE to get them...25-30mm spacers are considered "adapters", and they do come with their own studs so you just bolt these spacers on to your car using the stock studs, and bolt your wheels on to these spacers using the studs attached to them..

But if you do plan to get ARP extended studs, 25mm spacers would give you enough length on the studs to bolt the wheels on properly, without needing open-ended lug nuts

Just remember to get hubcentric spacers! Center bore for our car is 64.1mm..Hope that helps! And can't wait to see these wheels on your car!

I was suppose to have tires on these today, but that didn't happen so hopefully on Monday I should have some tire on these.
so in the mean time I'll just post the adapters I got for the wheels to fit.
                          there 20mm

then I test fitted the rear wheel to see how much clearance I had

see how wide the front are compared to the back

I'm gonna use 8mm for the front to give it that even look. "good looking out Will!" burr!
look how much it sticks out with the car on jacks, I know I'm gonna have to roll the rear fenders

more to come when tires are on.
