    Sticky tires

So i have plans of getting new tires. Im also planning on runnin with a 55 shot so i need traction on my 17s. Right now i need an allignment before i get new tires but whats a good brand of tires that are sticky and would last me for a while after i got an alignment? The tires on them right now look a little thin. Whats the widest i could go on a pair of 17s? Thanks guys

sticky and lasting dont mix lol

if you want decent tires for the money i suggest bfg kdw2's

if you want super sticky and cheap, i suggest sumitomo htr z 2...

at 62 dollars a tire, you can afford to replace lol.

i sell tires and the best for stickie is probably the falken azeniz, michelin exaltos are good too for the twisties cause of the sidewall design the wideest would probably be a 215 sumitomos are shit but if ur on a budget and like replacing tires often then sumitomos are the way too go

you cant have sticky AND long lasting lol. You gotta sacrifice one for the other, somewhat.

Good choices for sticky tires would be: BFG G Force Super Sports, Michelin Pilot Sport 2s, Dunlop Dirrezzas, and Bridgeston Potenza Pole Positions....but they're gonna cost you $$$ especially the Michelins and Bridgestones.

The BFG G Force Super Sports would be my pick, and would probably be the choice of my next tire, 215/45R17s, on my 17x7s. I work at Discount Tire so I get to examine all the tires when I shelve them on the racks when we get shipments every friday. And from what I notice, the Michelins are the stickiest tire by FAR out of all of them...prob. why they're double the price, not to mention they ride superbly. But the BFGs are more in my budget and the sidewall construction is on par w/ the Michelins, they're really firm and don't give as easily as others do.

My friend autoXes with his Subaru WRX that puts down 320 whp and says they stick like glue, and they're also quite soft as well, but they only last him like 10k miles at most.

My BFG G force Sports...not the supersports....have lasted 23K miles and are about worn out, 4/32nds left. So they're pretty durable w/ a treadwear rating of 340. But the G force Super Sports have a treadwear of 400 so they should last a bit longer. Plus they're a ultra high performance All season tire, so they'd far better in snow then my current tires.
