    Widened Steelies?

    what do yall think about widened steelies?











    i thought about getting a set of these. but wasnt sure....

    i like them, i don't think most cars can pull them off though.

      Is that a NY thing or what???? they look good, you will need a good suspension though.

            they look great on the white Civic, my Malibu wagon used to have a set of Camaro/Corvette rally's on it 15x7 in the front and 15x8 in the rear. they looked slamming !!!

              i think they should be left to the Vdub guys. They pull it off best

                  those are the dirt track steelies. they sell them in hella offset and sizes because it is more for getting proper wheel width and stagger than looks.

                  looks cheap, sturdy and light weight.

                    wow that looks sweet painted. i'm guessing you have to weld a lip on or something? Is it safe?for road-race use?

                      yeah. you can just have some lowering springs on your car. you have to be slammed in order to pull of a good look with these.

                          I'm pretty sure your not going to get stagger from different rims. They also use these on pure stock oval track cars and on some Honda oval track cars.

                            steelies are not light weight.

                            our 14" steelies with 185/70 feel heavier than my 240's 15" aluminum alloy 205/65

                            I picked them up side by side and the steelies deff. seemed to take more muscle to lift imo...the alloys did not have spokes that allowed for easier lifting either...basically same "spoke" design...cept one is steel and one is alloy
