Tire size question, will they fit?

I'm looking into trading my 16" ASA rims with 205/40/16 tires for a set of 17" Sport Max rims with 215/45/17 tires. I know the 16's with those small tires looks too small on my car, just wanted to know, will 215/45/17's fit? I have about 2-2.5 inch drop (but that can be adjusted)

yes they will fit. on a 17" rim the corrrect size for the 4th gen accord is 215/45/17

They will fit...but with a larger tire such as that, be careful of the offset of the wheels.

I had a +40 offset on a 17x7 rim with that tire size, and when my car had people in the back seats, I would rub.

i got 235/40r17 that the wides tire i no off who is running on this site.

I got the rims, they're friggin sweet!! Black chrome, and the tires are ok, should get at least one more summer out of them. I'll be putting them on the car and taking pics tomorrow, will post right away

Got them and they fit friggin wonderfully!! Really filled out that wheel gap (even though it's already lowered approx 2.5") Here they are:
