    5 lug conversion rims

After doing the 5 lug conversion, what is the stock rim specs used? Prelude or accord...or are the two different?

I know the offset is 55 but I can't find the width

    anyone know?

the width is 6.5'' for prelude base and sh rims.

and how does that answer the question of rim measurements?

          they would work
some cars have wings cuz they look cool.
some cars have wings cuz they increase efficiency.
some cars have wings to keep them from taking flight.

yes but what are the specs on them? backspacing is important and I will need the specs to know for sure that they are "in spec"

              In spec how?

And I am pretty sure the back S2K rims won't work, too high of an offset w/o a spacer.

Any of the Prelude wheels will work, as will the RSX wheels, and most other Honda 5 luggers

the backspacing for the 4lugs is 128mm ...I believe the backspacing for 5-lug prelude rims is 150mm...so...s2000 rims should be ok as their backspacing is 155mm...I don't know for a fact...bearing wear wise that is...IF I am correct on the backspacing for the 5-lugs. Once you change the hub over then you no longer go off of the stock accord backspacing of 128 but the backspacing of the car you got those hubs off of...for bearings that is.

By in spec...I was talking about backspacing...
When you get wider rims, you will need to adjust your offset to keep the same backspacing...being a little out won't hurt too much, but I wouldn't go more than 5mm out from factory backspacing.

I apologize for the crudity of this model but I didn't have time to build it to scale... ...nor put in est. measurements

say this is a stock accord rim

                (this is
                rim width) ___
                ___
                -|
-|--(back spacing) (this being the side of the rim facing the hub)
                ___

and you want these which are wider...if the offset is the same...your backspacing is WAY to far away...premature bearing failure and in this case...inner finder rub
                _____
                -|
-|----(back spacing) (this being the side of the rim facing the hub)
                _____

you would need to adjust the offset to get this instead
                _____
                ---|
---|--(back spacing) (this being the side of the rim facing the hub)
                _____

this sets the weight on the bearing as it should and...keeps you from rubbing the fender...course if you go too wide, it will.

                So that's what I meant.

btw...the s2000 rims mounting face stick out further than the accords...the rear tires would NOT work...the fronts may.

check this link out for a comparison of the 4-lug vs the s2000 rims...I'm not sure of the s2000's tire size dimensions...but the rims are all that you need to look at for what I'm saying
check this link for the 4-lug vs 5-lug prelude rims
check this link for prelude 5-lug vs s2000 front rims

                this is of course on the assumption that;
                4-lug alloys measure 15X5.5 46mm offset
                5-lug prelude rims measure 15X6.5 55mm offset
and front s2000 rims measure 16X6.5 60mm offset
