My right front brake has grinded against the rotor and scraped a bit off the rotor. I knew I needed to change my brakes soon but I thought I still had some time. What do you think has happened? It sounds like metal against metal when I push the brakes? Should I stop driving immediately, or can I drive it to the shop? The rotor is grooved/scraped when I touch it but will a shop be able to regrind it? I hope this is just a matter of getting new brake pads. I am not able to jack up my car and take off the tire right now so all I have seen is the rotor through my wheel.
