I got the pics already i just wont be anle to post them for a couple of days. Maybe sunday. If not then monday. Theres about a little more than a 1/4 inch of brake difference on each pad..so in total it equals 1/2 an inch extra brake pad on the rotor.

I'll have to check the brake pads but i swear they have that slanted leading edge like in the last picture.

On this topic my pads I picked up today I think may be for the civic as well, I cant check the part numbers until Monday morning but the pads are squared off at the corners like the ones above on the left. It also threw me off that they were so thick as well but they fit the caliper so I put them in. The pads are the autozone golds, pictured above. What got me looking this stuff up is the amount of smoke after my test drive earlier, seemed excessive to me, seeing how I do brakes all the time and reconize normal break in smoke.
So do I just drive it, or if the part number on the box does in fact match the civic set, return them and get the right set for my car. The brakes are not draggin as the car goes fully straight when you let go of the wheel, seems if they were draggin the car would go one way or another.
My rotors are not new, they have been turned so this may explain why I had no issues with binding the rotor in the pads @ install. If it matters this is a CL ROH setup with stock calipers on a 92 EX.Last edited by IBCNYA; 04-27-2013, 08:53 PM.
