Did it help. Don't give up b/c many have done it so why does it happens to you and the few? Some thing must be holding it back. So keep at it, the answer is right in front of you.

        reminded me of this lmao

Anyway, Maybe your rotors are to thick? We can try guessing all day, but without seeing it, we really cant figure out whats wrong. Do you mind taking a few pics of the calipers, pads and all on the car?

If you drive it around the block no cop is going to give you a ticket for making sure a vehicle is safe before inspecting/insuring it. just dont go far from the house.

I had a issue where my left rear caliper wouldnt depress all the way so I sandwiched the new pads on there anyways(duralast gold ceramics) and drove the fug outta it. It got hot and stunk for a few days, but its fine now.

After you get on the brakes a few times and the piston develops some pressure it will loosen things up a bit if the pads have shims built in. The piston will seat on them and imprint a little.

Honestly i had to hardcore force my pads/bracket over my rear rotor. if all you have is a little drag id not worry about it.

No not yet. My brother wanted me to help him install a radio in his car yesterday after school. Then later in the evening i had a paper to do. I probably won't be able to get back to the car till this weekend with all the stuff that i have to do today and tomorrow.

Fun, fun. I love installing car electronics. I haven't written a term paper since 1999.

                  Hey Leung,
Have you ever figured out what was wrong?
                  Thanks.

No i gave up on the ROH conversion and grabbed some stock hubs from Fleetwood. I had to stop there because the balljoint on the driver side has gone bad on me even though it's fairly new. I'm just going to break the bj and replace it instead of trying to reuse it.

Just in case you were wondering, the castle nut is spinning with the stud and there is no where to grab it with a pair of needle nose with.

I read your post on another thread. It's a pity that you had to give up. I still wonder what is wrong. Any how, the stock setup, is it pretty tough to put on? Why did you do the conversion in the first place? Bad bearings?
                      Thanks.

Yeah it sucks but i really need to get that car up and moving.
The reason why i went ahead and started the conversion in the first place was because i was already in there and the original rotors needed to be replaced so i figured why not?

Putting the stock HOR setup isn't hard at all, you just need to have the knuckle in a position where you have access to the four 10mm twelve point bolts on the back which screw into the wheel bearing. That also means you need to remove the axle nut, the shaft from knuckle and to separate the LBJ from the lower control arm. Once you remove those four 12pt bolts then everything should basically fall off but you might have to give it a gentle tap. Reverse order everything for install and that's it.

The problem was in the brake pads. They have two different part numbers. 465 and 465A. One number is thicker than the other. Il double check which is which tomorrow at work.

Oh Dude, and after you swap back the OEM stuffs too. More pain to endure. I hope you could still do the ROH so I could learn from this experience. I think the Nissin use the 465 and Akebono use the 465A.

No the akebono uses both 465 and 465a but on different cars.

Nissin uses i believe 273 or something like that. The difference is the akebono pads for out car are 465a i think and akebono 465 are for civics i think. But they fit because they are the same number. I am going to take pics of them tomorrow.
